Assistant Tailor & Media Coordinator
Amanda grew up just outside Chicago in Riverside. She attended Purdue University, where she earned a B.S. in Apparel Design & Technology with minors in Fine Arts and Global Business Studies. Travel & culture are very important to Amanda, and while at Purdue, she had the opportunity to study abroad on two separate occasions. First, a summer in Cartagena, Colombia, where she completed a Spanish-speaking design internship, and second, a semester at the London College of Fashion, where she was taught by world-renowned industry professionals.
Upon graduation from Purdue, Amanda accepted a position as an assistant designer for Chicago-based womenswear brand Christina Karin, and continues to design for her today. Her love of high fashion and haute couture brought her to Daniel George in 2016. She is an apprentice tailor to Jeanine, as well as working as the Media Coordinator. Amanda brings her creative vision and strong voice into all of her projects, and aims to make the world a more stylish yet sustainable place. Her ultimate goal is to move to London to apprentice on Saville Row, and eventually transition into the world of women's haute couture.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys attending concerts & festivals, cooking (& eating) delicious food, and traveling whenever possible.
